First, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has believed in this mission and donated over the past three years. The qualification process was rigorous and your support helped get me earn my entry in this edition of the Mini Transat.

However, costs continue to add up even faster than planned. With some additional unexpected bills needing to be paid, I am still asking for your support.

Leading up to the start of this big race, everyday I have to make financial decisions balancing many factors. Anyone of these decisions can have serious impacts when I am thousands of miles from shore or help.

My primary considerations are Safety, Cost, Performance, and Funds Raised.

Safety is my ultimate priority and it will not be compromised, despite the costs

I want to acknowledge, while this is a solo ocean race I am not preparing for it alone. Many of you know Jane Millman has been a critical member of this campaign from the very beginning (Listen to our podcast episode HERE). She has flown to France multiple times (paying for her own flights and train tickets each time) to support the qualification process and has seven more flights coming up. This consists of flying equipment, spare parts, and helping complete final preparations for the race. I am hoping we receive enough donations to help cover some of her flights.
