Track Terminal Leave During the Mini Calvados Cup!

This past Sunday morning at 6:52am (Central European Summer Time) Terminal Leave crossed the starting line for the Mini Calvados Cup, a doublehanded two leg race totaling about 570nm.

The race started just off the coastal city of Douamenez, FR with little to no wind. After almost forty hours of racing, the Terminal Leave has only sailed roughly 114nm of the 250nm race, with his the average speed for the last 24 hours being 3.54 knots. We hope the wind fills in soon and the Minis can skip along the remaining 130+nm.

The tracker is not exact, but it does give a good idea of where he the boat is on the race course and in reference to the other Classe Minis competitors. To follow Peter on his progress in the race, click the tracker link below!

During the Classe Mini races, all competitors must turn in their cell phones and they are not allowed to have any outside (out of the boat) communication. Due to this, Peter’s June SITREP will be delayed until he finishes the second leg of the Calvados Cup. Until then, I will be sure to keep you updated on his progress in the Calvados Cup!

A huge thank you to PGN Ocean Racing sponsors, Fawcett Marine Supply, Switlik, Gill Marine, New England Ropes, Yankee Marine for their incredible support! And a special thank you to everyone for their personal support of Peter in his endeavor to raise awareness for U.S. Patriot Sailing.
